Hormone Consultation


Dr. Bob Marshall is the co-founder and pharmacist-in-charge of Vital Care Pharmacy of Norfolk. He received his B.S. and Pharm.D. degrees from the University of Nebraska College of Pharmacy. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of both the Nebraska Pharmacists Association and the California Pharmacists Association, and was Marketing Director of Harris Laboratories and Etreby Computer Company. He is a member of the Nebraska Pharmacists Association, the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists, the National Home Infusion Association and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists. He is a past-president of Norfolk Noon Kiwanis and is currently serving as Chair of the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy.

Dr. Bob Marshall provides human identical hormone replacement counseling at Vital Care Pharmacy of Norfolk. Bob was trained by Dr. Eldred Taylor and the Professional Compounding Centers of America, and by Dr. Jay Mead of Labrix Laboratories. He has worked with hundreds of women in his six years of experience, in the areas of hormone replacement, adrenal fatigue and thyroid dysfunction.
 
Each new Vital Care hormone patient is required to complete an initial saliva hormone test. The saliva test will determine your levels of sex and stress hormones, and make it much easier to initiate and monitor your hormone therapy. A Vital Care staff member will provide you with a saliva test kit and instructions. After you have completed the test, send the box to the laboratory via US mail or UPS. The cost of the hormone test is $211 and may be covered by your insurance and/or flex spending plan.

After completing the saliva test, please fill out the Confidential Hormone Evaluation and call (402) 371-3444 or toll free at (800) 923-9039 to schedule a consultation with our pharmacist, Bob Marshall. The consultation takes approximately 60 minutes at which time Dr. Marshall will discuss your completed evaluation and hormone therapy options. He will also address any questions or concerns you have regarding bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. The fee for the consultation is $60.00.

Once your consultation is completed, he will contact your prescriber with a recommendation for the type of biodentical hormone replacement therapy that is right for you.
